Facebook enabled me to 'chat' with Mark (another U316 student). He's obtained a copy of the first texbook for the course fron his Regional Centre. Now, why didn't I try that!
Instead, I used Google books to obtain previews, sample pages from Books 1 and 4.
My Regional Centre is in Manchester (30 miles away). Close? but not easily accessible. Travel by car's a big No! Train and tram are preferable. Yes, I know there's a 'sattelite' service of the OU in Liverpool (Picton Library). Another awkward place to reach.
"The course The Environmental Web was selected as a case study offers a computer-mediated interactive study experience that is strongly integrated into the assessment and study process."
